Tilaa Limited (“Tilaa”) is a limited liability company registered and incorporated under the laws of Ghana in 2015 with the Registrar General Department of Ghana. The company currently owns 200 acres of farmland and 50 beehives in the Northern Region for beekeeping and honey/wax processing.
 The agro-ecological conditions across all regions of Ghana are considered suitable for honey production in all regions. The West African honey bee, the Apis Mellifera Adansonil, is best adapted to the tropical conditions of Ghana, and therefore, is the most commonly used in the country.
 Despite these favourable conditions, the beekeeping industry in the country remains in its infancy. The industry still requires substantial government and private support if it is to achieve its full, lucrative potential.
In Ghana, individual consumers, pharmaceutical companies, food processors, supermarkets, and hotels create a demand for honey and other bee products that far exceeds the available supply, which results in the importation of large quantities. Tilaa hopes to continue to expand to better satisfy Ghana’s unwavering demand for these bee-derived products, while also stimulating Ghana’s economy.
By adhering to self-imposed strict standards of quality control, Tilaa is able to produce exceptionally pure honey, which is its main competitive advantage over the other honey producers.
As a vertically integrated company, Tilaa also processes and packages the honey it produces, thereby giving it absolute control over the final products. In an effort to scale up, the company has registered with Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC), Fair Trade International, National Board for Small Scale Industries, and Ghana Export Promotion Center. These affiliations have exposed Tilaa to an invaluable network of both domestic and international prospective customers and business partners.

1. Pure Honey – Available in 10g, 250g and 1kg bottles.
2. Beeswax – After the honey is harvested, the residues are collected into sacks and therefore subjected to heat to make the beeswax. This product has proven benefits for the skin and hair, and as such, is a common component of soaps, lip balms, and other hair/skin care products. The wax is also used to make crafts like crayons, candles, and polishes. The beeswax is available in 1kg packages.
3. Gel Wax – As with beeswax, gel wax is also used to make various crafts. The gel wax is available in 1 kg packages.
